As the title suggests, this is a blog about the art of imagination. In particular, I will focus on the topics of fantasy cartography and RPG theory and design. I have some professional experience in the former and am just beginning to dabble in the latter.
Who should read this blog?
If you are a fan of traditional table-top role playing games, particularly if you are a member of the OSR or a fan of Pathfinder, you may find this blog to be of interest. If you are interested in the process of creating fantasy maps, whether for your campaigns or for that novel you’ve been laboring on for the past 10 years, you will find resources here that may be of help to you.
What’s in store for the future?
In the coming weeks and months ahead I’ll be releasing a series of tutorials on map creation. I am also in the midst of working on an RPG system that is an attempt at abridging and revising the rule-set of the third edition of D&D system in order to facilitate a more fast paced, grim and gritty form of play. The beta version of the players handbook is nearly complete and will be made available here in the near future. Finally, I am in the midst of working on a campaign setting and adventure related content for this system and no doubt will be talking about that at length in the weeks ahead.
So if any of this is of interest to you feel free to come along on this journey.
