WIRED’s Interview with Jonathon Roberts

WIRED magazine has just released an article about the work of Jonathon Roberts.  Those who have spent much time at the Cartographers Guild will already be familiar with Jonathon (who goes by the screen name ‘Torstan’ there) who is, without a doubt, one of its most talented and accomplished members, not to mention just a really swell guy.

But for those of you not already familiar with Roberts, he recently did a series of atlas maps for George R.R. Martin’s Game of Thrones series.  He also offers a host of helpful tutorials on hand-drawn fantasy map-making techniques on his blog Fantastic Maps.

Anyway if you are at all into maps, or the Game of Thrones series, you should totally read the WIRED article and then go check out what he’s doing over on his blog.  He is certainly one of the leading lights in the field of fantasy cartography.

    1. My pleasure Jon. Nice to see that your work is catching the attention of more and more people outside of our niche.
